The fashion brand of popular singer Jessica Simpson is set to expand its reach by launching a sportswear line later this year.
The Jessica Simpson brand, which started selling shoes eventually branched out to offering jeans, coats and accessories. Its target market is people from all age groups.
Label licenses owner Vince Camuto said that mothers and their daughters would buy their products at the same time. Camuto is also very positive that the new Jessica Simpson fashion line will be a hit.
Camuto said that projected income by the fashion brand in retail sales by 2012 could reach up to $1 billion. He added that the Simpson family will get royalties from the sales as part of the agreement for acquiring the licenses.
Camuto also shared that Jessica Simpson fashion will be a popular choice among women.
Aside from the sportswear line, Camuto said that he’?s planning to open freestanding stores that will sell the aforementioned products plus fine jewelry, bridalwear and home products such as silverware, kitchenware and furniture.
Jessica Simpson, as we all know, is a fashionable celebrity. A popular singer, actress and now fashion line owner, Jessica Simpson used to be married to Nick Lachey of the all male group 360 Degrees. After their divorce, she dated singer John Mayer and athlete Tony Romo.
